Once the beads are made - why not use them as a meditation aid - as the Catholics used rosary, some still do - & the Chinese use "worry beads" - that they wear on the wrist. As Yogis & Buddhists use mediation beads. The Chinese have different materials according to the health of the person using the beads. People with heart problems should use jade beads. There is a tag on the 108 Buddhist beads so that the practiser knows when s/he has completed a round. To keep the mind steadily focused many traditions also repeat a mantra. The key of course, as it most things is daily training. Just knowing ABOUT things will do you no good what-so-ever.
