art therapy techniques for use with bipolar disorder

Does anyone have any information (new or old) on any research that has been done with bipolar patients(adults or children)and the use of art therapy in treatment?? If you don't know of any research, do you have any ideas as to which techniques may prove useful.....please include directives for administering the technique if possible!
I am a Master's student in Art Therapy, working on this topic, and may want to incorporate it in a thesis.
