Using clay can be a good material to use for anger
especially with a high functioning population
(because of its regressive nature). For children, have
them take a piece of clay and hold it, need it, pound
it, etc.. You can use a lunch tray for them to work on
to help with containment. This is done with the
guidance of the art therapist throughout. Once this is
done it is helpful to have the child create something
with the clay. In a sense, have them do something
productive with their anger. I have found this to
work well. Hope it can help. Good luck!
