How does Art Therapy work?

Hi, I am writing a paper about art therapy and I need information. What I´m looking for is the process that an art therapist will use. Besides he working with art itself I would like to know what happens after that. Is the piece of art talked about, and if so by whom? Is there further therapeutical counseling afterwards? If anyone could help me out I´d really appreciate it. Thanks
