Looking for art therapy students to interview
Meredith Renwick · 11/21/99 at 11:12 pm ET

I'm doing an education profile of the field article is for The Bridges
Initiatives, a career information and planning website based out of
    Kelowna B.C.(www.bridges.com.)

The finished profile will be posted in a section of the Bridges
called Pathways, which provides high school students with detailed
information about a wide variety of careers through their guidance
offices. About 3300 high schools in both Canada and the U.S. currently
    subscribe to the Bridges.

I have contacted faculty at a number of art therapy programs in both the
U.S. and Canada, but I need to interview a couple of students and/or recent
graduates as well and they're proving more elusive. If anyone is interested,
I've included the questions below -- they're pretty straightforward. You
can copy and paste them into your email and mail any responses to the
    email address below.

    * What are your career aspirations?

    * What is a typical day like in your program?

    * What do you like best about the program you're in?

    * What are some of the more difficult aspects of the program that new
students should be prepared for? Can you think of how you dealt with any

    difficulties you had?

*What did you major in as an undergrad?

    * Did any aspect of the program surprise you, was there anything you
didn't expect? How did you deal with it?

    * On average, how many hours of homework a day do you have?

    * Besides tuition, what are your expenses? (i.e. textbooks, equipment,
other fees). Do you have any tips for saving on costs?

    * Is there anything high school students can be doing now (i.e. taking
certain classes, taking part in extracurricular activities) to prepare
    themselves for this program?

    Thanks for your time,

    Meredith Renwick
