    I wish you a lot of luck in finding a job as an art
    therapist. I hope that you are married to a rich dentist.
    In my experience, I have found it extrememly frustrating to
    have spent thousands of dollars on a graduate degree that
    MIGHT get me a job at $10 or $12 an hour. I find that many
    facilities want a recreation therapist or TSS (therapeutic
    staff support) which is a bachelor's position.

    I have an MA in art therapy but will persue an MA in
    counseling psychology to survive. It is unfortunate that
    there are schools cranking out art therapy students for
    which there are few jobs. Read the AATA journal;
    it's depressing.

    I love the creative arts as therapy, but I would never
    recommend a career as an art therapist to anyone.

    Good luck to you!
