    Creative arts and eating disorders
Jennifer Smith · 11/14/98 at 10:00 PM ET

I'm a grad student working on (the beginning stages of) my thesis paper. The topic: proposing an intervention program (group format) using creative arts (journals, poetry, art, dance, etc.) to work with college-age women with eating disorders (probably specifically compulsive overeating but I haven't narrowed it down yet). I'm looking for links, book recommendations, advice, etc. dealing with improving body-image, self-esteem, and other aspects through the creative arts.

Most importantly, if anyone is working with this topic, please let me know how it worked or didn't work. I'd appreciate any suggestions, comments, guidance, and help.

    Thanks! Jennifer Smith
