Geriatrics and Art Therapy

I will be starting field work this fall for my graduate degree in art therapy working in a community center with the elderly. I do not have any experience with older people, only 4-14 year old kids. At this point I will not be able to practice art therapy, but will be leading art classes and at the same time working alongside a music, dance movement, and recreational therapist.

I don't have any specific questions, I am mainly curious of others impressions of working with the elderly (and art therapy). Any insight would be much appreciated!
