    New york Social Psychology study
    ernestcollum@onebox.com · 08/21/00 at 2:34 PM ET

I was trying to identify the social-psych study and its
    researcher/author published during the 1960's involving a
woman who was being beaten by a man and subsequently murdered. The terrible but interesting part of this study and focus of this study is that this public abuser coming back several times to attack this woman in the early hours of morning with a number of tentants in the apartment building witnessing these physical attacks with none of these observers calling the police until the woman is actually killed.

A similar incident happened in the city in which I am residing.

Is there anyone that could reference the researcher and publisher for this study on "public violence in New York City" and the year it was published?
