seeking info on alders influneces

i am currently a graduate student in school counseling. i am writng a paper on how adler influenced a method or techhnique of counsling in todays society. i am suppose to read an original work and then a work on the influence. i was wondering if anyone could provide any insight into what the best influence is. i am thinking of play therapy, encouragement, child raising. you input would be appreciated. any info on books or articles to read would also be helpful. i have already read portions of understanding human behavior and social interests
