What version have you heard?
Hi All,
I have always enjoyed the way Erickson's stories have been told, retold and transformed. I have never read his account of the person who had therapy with him while parked outside of his office. Can anyone tell me where I might find it. You may also enjoy recalling your recollection of this tale before rereading it. Thanks, Rob |

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for your quick reply. I was surprised by your response. I don't think I made it up. I'll keep looking and let you know if I find anything. Thanks again, Rob |

Re: What version have you heard?
Hi,
I believe I know the story- before I search through my books, let me verify the details- this is the story of the woman who sat outside for several hours in her car- possibly at night? (I might be confusing it with the story of the woman who came over and had Milton wait in another room until she was done)... and without ever actually speaking with Milton, still had a profound therapeutic encounter as a result? I believe I know the story, I just need to figure out which book- and be sure I haven't merged two or more stories in my memory. Best regards, Dave Xanatos |

Re: What version have you heard?
I am glad it sounds familiar to someone else.
The story as I "remember" it was about a patient of Dr. Erickson's who would park in his driveway or by his home and, while remaining in the car, go into trance and imagine doing therapeutic work with Erickson. I too will keep looking and asking. Thanks, Rob |

Re: What version have you heard?
Regardless of the outcome of this yarn, I just want to say that I hope you can bill clients for this therapy. Think of the possibilities?
