Default Possible to have emotion without feelings?

I am new to hynosis, but perhaps it may shed light to one of my case, as it appeared that the person I mentioned is dissociated from her feelings. I wonder if any hypnosis concept can explain her experience.

My case is a woman after recovering from a life threathening disease, responds to others' mentioning of the aftermath of the disease with tears.
She did not recognised any sadness or feelings associated, no images and thoughts could be recognized neither. When I tried to explore her bodily sensation association, she could only feedback with "hollowness" in heart and doubtfulness about having such "hallowness" and could not move further.
Sometimes, she similes with tears.

Medical check-up did not accept the woman is experiencing any impairment, though the woman subjectively report pains and weaker than before, etc. She felt angry towards the medical person in denying her experience while she kept trying to persuade herself that she had recovered already.

She had normal sleep, eating, appeared that masked depression could be rude out. No flashback, nightmare, appeared not coincide with PTSD.

I have difficulties to understand the case and is thinking if there exist abnoramlities in mid-brain level, but no evidence suggest the life threathening disease will lead to such development. I am puzzle.

Hello,
If you are a clinical psychologist, you will have a much more lively discussion of cases on the Erickson List Server. Email me at steve@lankton.com and I'll get you hooked up.
We really don't discuss cased here in depth as it is a public forum. The list is exclusively for professionals to discuss cases.
