DID books?
Hi Sandra. I posted recently asking if you knew a DID consultant in the Asheville, NC area. You suggested Gary Peterson, and he and I and my supervisor are going to begin consultation soon. Thanks for the tip.
I'm going to ask him this same question, but I thought you would be a great resource too: are there are any clinally oriented books that you would strongly suggest for DID? I have strong backgrounds in EMDR, Hakomi, and in Ericksonian Hypnosis. |

Re: DID books?
Well, Gary just told me in Atlanta that he really loved my book, Looking Through the Eyes of Trauma and Dissociation: An Illustrated Guide for EMDR Therapists and Clients. I bet he'll mention it.
You might see what the people at SIDRAN books are currently recommending - they are an organization by and for dissociative folks, and they have extensive reading there. www.sidran.org I think is their website. |

Re: DID books?
Thanks, Sandra. I appreciate the tip on Gary, by the way. He has been a godsend, both for me and for my client who has DID. It's funny you should recommend your book, as I just came across it on Amazon earlier today and suggested that the organization I work for purchase it!
Thanks for all you do on here. You are performing such a wonderful service to so many folks. |
