Default Jewels of Our Genome: Comparing Human and Chimp

Among the most potentially useful tools for determining what is unique about the human brain and mind is comparison with our closest genetic relatives. This excellent review article on comparative genetics between chimp and human recently ran in PLoS Genetics. It discusses the potential of this kind of analysis and also alludes to the early stage we are at:
