Default OCD in a young adult

I am working with a client who has OCD (fears of contamination and getting HIV are paramount). She has been a bit responsive to flooding and response prevention. Is currently waiting for a med evaluation. However, she is getting markedly better after 10 sessions. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

If she's markedly better after 10 sessions, it sounds like you're on the right track and I'd continue with what you're doing. Treatment with OCD can take considerable persistence.

You can find some recent findings regarding OCD in the thread "Understanding OCD" in this forum. Also, you can find the expert consensus guidelines for OCD at http://www.psychguides.com.
