Default Blogs and Therapy

Just curious, does anyone incorporate patient blogs in therapy? Obviously journaling has been around well before the blog, but not in such an accessible format. I could see this being helpful in getting a more encompassing view of the client. Has anyone had clients volunteer the addresses of their blogs for your viewing? What issues/benefits could potentially arise from this? What about the concept of suggesting patients start a private blog (public or non public, at the patients discretion), that can be shared with the therapist?
