Re: Does Solution Focused therapy (SFT) come under the umbrella of CBT?
My understanding is that the proponents of Solution Focused Therapy do not see it as a cognitive behavioral approach. While CBT is definitely solution-focused, Solution Focused Therapy conceptualizes client's problems and approaches therapy differently than we do.
