"Earth on Brink of Ice Age"
Read carefully. Even though it makes sense, it might be wrong or, no surprise, it may be correct. And, like so many things, perhaps written and published because it agrees with the biases of the publisher. In this case, one whose military expansion rests on the sales appeal of natural gas. Thus, pravda or nepravda?
JimB "The AGW (anthropogenic global warming, jb) theory is based on data that is drawn from a ridiculously narrow span of time and it demonstrates a wanton disregard for the 'big picture' of long-term climate change. The data from paleoclimatology, including ice cores, sea sediments, geology, paleobotany and zoology, indicate that we are on the verge of entering another Ice Age, and the data also show that severe and lasting climate change can occur within only a few years. While concern over the dubious threat of Anthropogenic Global Warming continues to distract the attention of people throughout the world, the very real threat of the approaching and inevitable Ice Age, which will render large parts of the Northern Hemisphere uninhabitable, is being foolishly ignored." Re: "Earth on Brink of Ice Age"
Hey JimB, as you know I too find the so-called current consensus regarding AGW and projections of doom to be mostly unsupportable nonsense. Unfortunately, however, the author of that Pravda article, Gregory F. Fegel, doesn’t seem the most credible guy in the world. He’s also written, among other things, that 9/11 was the work of “US government officials and their allies,” "blamed on some bogus 'Arab highjackers,'” and thereby “provided the excuse for the US government's 'War on Terrorism.'”

Re: "Earth on Brink of Ice Age"
Fred,
Thanks for the new info. I find many things at Pravda, including news of aliens and why Darwin was wrong. On the other hand, even a stopped clock is right twice a day... Jim |
