Telephone-based CBT
 
While it may seem self-evident, it turns out that CBT works over the phone as well as in person. For example see http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/512256 . While there are drawbacks to doing therapy over the phone (missing out on non-verbal cues for one), it is really handy when it isn't practical for the client to come to your office.

Interesting stuff. Do you think this says anything about the importance (or lack of importance) of non-verbal cues? Or might we speculate that phone therapy emphasizes other aspects that compensate for the lack of non-verbals?
