Evol-Psych List: Ian Pitchford Hangs It Up
 

Pitchford started the "evo-psych" listserve during an interval when Nazi sympathizers regularly inserted material into the listserve sponsored by the Human Behavior and Evolution Society. HBES dangled their bonnet and plume while Pitchford stole the bride when he started his moderated listserve.

I believe that, at one point, he counted 1700 universities on his list! And he created and edited Human-Nature Reviews and assembled an evolutionary mental health dictionary.

I don't know his reasons for closing the list; I do know that I profited, certainly not in cash but in the things that count, such as access to breaking news about human evolution.

I thank him and wish him well...
