You Gotta Have Friends

Happy to be here to talk and share. Realizing more and more just how important friends are!! Did you know that having a good friend greatly increases the chances of recovering from a mental health problem? I work with the SAMHSA and the organization just launched the What A Difference A Friend Makes Campaign. Was checking out the website and it really has a lot to offer. Been soooo busy lately and living in a new town that I don't have that many friends and probably haven't made time for the ones I do have. Ugh! Is that you too? If you go to the website - www.whatadifference.org/mentalhealth - you can learn how to be a better friend or find help if you could really use one right now. So JUST DO IT! ;)

That's so great your friends were there for you; supported you. Wish more people knew how to be a good friend like that. Did you look at the website - www.whatadifference.org/mentalhealth Share it with the people you know so that we can teach others how to support their friends in their time of need.

I agree with all of you, friends really help you when you’re down and also can help you recover from a mental illness. And also there are times that we have problems that we can't share to our families then we share to our friends to takeout our burdens in life.

I think that support structure in general - friends and/or family - is really important. Seems like it is kinda the way people are wired.
