Translation Capability Added to Web Site

The Classical Adlerian Psycholgy home page at http://www.Adlerian.us can now be translated into eight languages by simply following a link. Other pages may also be translated by entering their URL into the form under the "tools" menu on the initial translated page. If there is enough interest in this translation feature, I will add a convenient translation link to selected pages. Just let me know which pages you'd like to include.

I tried this translation capability in both French (where I have have reasonable proficiency being in Canada) and German (where I have limited proficiency). I and was surprised at how well it did.

That's reassuring. I tried a secondary test, translating a paragraph from English to German, then back to English. Not too bad, although "Adler" comes through as "eagle." It might be interesting to add more languages in a translation chain, then cycle back to English at the end.

One of my distance training students from Germany claims that reading our new English translation of "The Neurotic Character" is much clearer and easier to read than the original German. I've also heard that Shakespeare's plays are even more beautiful in German.

Adler in German does mean "eagle" so the software did its job. Because all German nouns start with an upper case letter, the software could not detect a proper name. Perhaps as it improves by using syntactical methods, this could be overcome
