Putting the "legal" aspect aside, can anyone explain as to why the professionals here (and elsewhere on-line) are not willing to enter into dialogue the subject of transference/countertransference? It seems as if no one is willing to discuss the "love" or "sexual" feelings that occur during the course of therapy. And in fact, given the nature of the intimate "setting"... I wonder just how often this issue must be dealt with? To be more specific, is anyone willing to validate that this does indeed occur in the context of NOT putting these feelings into "action"?
