Let's be clinically accurate here. While the consequences of adult-child sexual interactions are frequently devastating to the child, such experiences, according to DOZENS of peer-reviewed studies, are often of NO serious damage. This is something we should celebrate--that people are that resilient. Acknowledging this does NOT mean we trivialize the traumatic experiences that some people do have.
So the accurate statement would be, "many people who are sexualized by adults as children experience harmful consequences..., etc."
