I sense a tone of heavy sarcasm in your second paragraph. As a matter of fact, there are groups (and not just women) who are campaigning for worldwide ban on this practice. The procedures you mentioned that are done on children, while without their consent, were procedures done for medical benefits. So, why would such a procedure, if done on an adult, constitute a human rights violation, while done on a child, be justifiable? Or is than not what you are saying?
