As you must be aware, the Transference issue discussed here a while ago was a "hot" topic and brought on unwelcome postings from many non-professionals. This of course was not the proper place for this to occur. Someone finally set up and agreed to oversee a forum on Transference (the inviation to join is still posted here). It is unfortunate but the site was short lived, and the manager shut it down. You advised earlier to visit some sites more approprate for lay persons to find answers to their questions. But you may not be know that there is little information on Transference available to the public, and there is NO place to go on line to discuss this VERY emotional issue. Another forum is greatly needed, and it is in my opinion that in order for it to be successful it should be managed by a professional. Please try to understand how frustrating it is for clients who need and want to "talk" about this with someone other than their therapist! I am NOT saying it should be "in place of", and in fact during the short time the disscussion WAS able to take place there was much encouragement from those who "understood" on how to better open up or even START to address this with their therapists. AND of course there was some heated disscussion about those who had been "violated" (or felt they had) by the therapist as well. I thank you for taking the time to read this... and again ask for your help in finding an outlet for those of us in need.
My question is would you be willing to do this OR put the word out to try and find someone who is willing?
