I'll say it once more: many people have experiences EXACTLY like the ones you describe. It's one reason we should do everything we can to discourage sexual exploitation and coercion.
That said, we should not assume that every single person who is sexually misused becomes traumatized as your mother did.
My sources? Bruce Rind's meta-analysis of 54 different peer-reviewed studies in psychology journals, Paul Okami's article in the Journal of Sex Research, and Judith Levine's book "Harmful to Minors," to name just a few.
Of course, I don't expect you to respect these scientifically-based studies if you feel they disrespect your mother's horrible experience--which they don't. But that's the kind of social prejudice that all science-based psychotherapy and sexology face every day.
