Good Point. There are lots of issues with email that make it less than ideal. As web-based email becomes more popular the issues that you raise are especially important. I noticed that the new site Healtheon is advertising "secure email" coming soon. This sounds promising - but there are some aspects about the site that have people worried. The site is Netscape co-founder Jim Clark's new company. It is actually an electronic service for payers, doctors, and hospitals. Healtheon claims that centralizing medical data will ultimately benefit the patient by offering patients 'vaults' that receive direct reports of medical purchases. Who has access to the vaults? This would be a good thing if you need medical care when you are out-of-town. It may be not-so-good if your HMO uses it to deny care. Leonard
