Oh, do you mean your web site, which was not SSL secure for four months, even though you said it was? Your web site MyTherapyNet.com where you sell on line psychotherapy was NOT SECURE from September 2002 until Jan 19, 2003, when they purchased their Cyber Trust SSL Digital Encryption Certificate. This means that anyone who had psychotherapy with them during that four month period, could have their private psychotherapy conversations listened in on by anyone wanting to do so with the knowledge. Private un encrypted conversations between therapist and client that is. They also advertised their psychotherapy to their potential and existing clients as being secure, when in fact for over four months, it was not. So they lied. Period. I am certainly not surprised to hear that Licensed Psychotherapists would place their clients confidentiality at risk for FOUR MONTHS, AND lie. I see it all the time. This is why, if there is going to be on line psychotherapy, that there needs to be oversight and regulation. I sure hope no one had therapy with them during that time. Apparently, it was not worth a hundred bucks to Kathleene Derrig-Palumbo to protect her firms confidentiality and credit card purchases. If you are not willing to pay the hundred bucks to keep confidential conversations secure you should just close down that web site. I personally would like to hear Kathleene Derrig-Palumbo's explaination of this here in this thread, since after all she has chosen to use this forum to advertise her so called "secure"on line psychotherapy services. If I was a client, and I found out that I was lied to by a shrink's web site being secure, that they mis represented their services to me, I would be filing an ethics complaint with the ethics board in the state in which they practice.
