I just have read a small portion of the messages posted and that was all I planned on doing, but I started thinking about therapy online. I thought I would pitch in a few of my thoughts and questions leaving for you to do so with them as you please. Would this thearapy be a World Wide Web thing or would it be of doctor/patient privacy? It would be awesome to be able to let the patient design there own program that would make them feel comfortable and at the same time would be of their own choice. Are any ideas about having an online "black board" that can be loaded with topics of contraversy as well as the "reflectors" which can really generate ideas from one's mind at their own pace and under no pressure and totally private. Well if a patient chose to be unknown throughout an internet intervention program, would it be of concern that there is not enough control or suprevision of a patients progress. Wow, this is an issue I could really pick apart and analyze. It is very interesting to me if this takes off, to see which perspective will be dominate in the development. Will it be what the doctor wants or will the doctor explore their patients and what they may want. What kind of thearapy would you seek? In person? Online? I am a huge promoter of interpersonal communication and social contact, would their be phase level that the online thearapy could be mixed with what the needs are of a particular patient?
I could go on and on...but you would probally feel me actually disconnecting from each thought as I am sure I am beginning to ramble a little more than my first words. Any ways, I appreciate the invitation to intervene in your discussion. Lori
