Starting a university is no easy task as I am sure we both know. It however is doable provided that you have a dedicated core team and others who believe in the mission. The development of such a team though is equally hard. I at times think that those people who develop any institution be it a university, an institute, or any successful corporate organization have something in common - that being a history of working with groups of people on a team in sports, as part of organized clubs, or even gangs when they were young. The next step is carrying that spirit or whatever it is forward into their eductional undertakings and then into their careers during which time they have experienced peer teams, meentors, tough but fair bosses with high achievement standards. Given this base one can then launch. This is just a few ideas -- the next part is the ability to develop and work with a wide network. I hope the above is helpful. If you would like some more information on this -- reply.
