dear rajan, this is very interesting. I have worked with indian organizations and found some characteristics of the way people deal with authority. some of them are
a. Indian men remain sons never husbands or fathers. their primary experience of authority is from their father who is seen as the holder of all resurces and has to be placted for favours.Authority is always the dispenser of the 'goodies. this has many org consequences. these are broad generalizations needing more person specific work. i think the root of authority relations in secondary systems (work orgs) is in their experience of authority in primary systems . please be free to contact me for any clarifications at atulsapre@hotmail.com atul
