At the end of this semester I have to decide upon a specialisation, the degree I am doing is criminology and criminal justice and i really enjoyed the psychology part of the course and have been considering choosing criminal psychology as my specialisation. I always intended at the beginning to go into the justice area more so then a psych area but the further into my studies the more
I was drawn to the psychology areas. I dont know if anyone can even offer anything but I was wondering are there really very many positions available if i were to specialise in criminal psych or are other areas easier to obtain a position in? I know if i chose policing for instance as a specialisation there are many different positions available but criminal psych seems like it wouldnt have as many positions or opportunity for full time employment. I dont know if anyone can assist me its just that to choose a specialisation I also need to think to the future.
thanks
