Communities can be very tricky to handle, Jeri, especially if it's a place where people are expressing emotions and seeking support. Keep in mind that while you can be supportive and noncritical, you will not be able to help everyone overcome their problems. In cases where people are very troubled, it's often a good idea to encourage them to find someone supportive and helpful that they can speak to, perhaps in-person - like a family member, or friend, or if necessary, a professional mental health worker. Also encourage them to visit places like Mental Health Net in order to find information and resources that will be helpful to them.
