Good questions, Angie. As I mention in that article "The Bad Boys of Cyberspace", I think there are different types of online misbehavior, ranging from mild to quite severe. And there probably are different personality types associated with those different types of misbehavior. If there's any one general conclusion about comparing online to offline misbehavior, I'd say that it's the fact that "disinhibition" resulted from online anonymity results in an amplification of deviant behavior. People who don't misbehave in-person might do some of that online, and people who do misbehave in-person may do A LOT MORE of it online.
