Hello Dr. Jhon, I read your article about internet addiction, or 'addiction to cyberspace'; Congratulations, it is very good.. very funny also, the reference to internet addicts that name their kids Eudora or Mozilla... ;) Im a psychologist and also very involved with the internet. Sometimes i believe i am also 'addicted' to it... I have tried to figure out what happens when i am in front of a computer screen and i get so involved with the cyberspace that many times it is definitely hard to stop... as you mentioned in your article, i believe you can achive altered states of consciousness, sometimes i feel in trance and even when i force myself to stop it, i keep thinking about many elements in cyberspace... today i realized that T.V. generate the same trance but in a less degree (at least in me), maybe the internet is more appealing due to its interactive nature... however, I wonder if this 'trance' has something to do with the BRIGHTNESS of the screen; people that practice hypnosis know that bright objects not only are very attractive for human attention but also are excellent aids to help their practice........ what do u think??
