I think that moving to an new situation is a good idea. It is not running. It is making a healthy choice and in that new situation you can take on some clients with more complex issues without being overwhelmed by them. In the end, that to me would make you much more effective overall. Right now you have no choice in your work situation re types of clients and I think that is unfortunate. I think therapist who are the most effective know they need a break from the more complex cases and therefore work with a variety. That way their energy is not sapped and zapped too easily and they don't get overwhelmed. My perspective
