Steve, I haven't seen the GHQ I don't think. The PAI is the best measure I've seen for a psychiatric battery with medically ill patients. It takes 40 minutes, and for $400, I believe, you can get unlimited scorings. It was on DOS, but I believe is now on Windows as well. Plus, the narrative is extraordinarily accurate and helpful. It takes 40 minutes, and has lots of scales and subscales, among them: I'll send you a print out if you like. As well as the Hosp Anx and Dep Scale. Jim
- Four validity scales (similar to the MMPI, and just as valid and helpful)
- Depression (Cognitive, Affective, Physiologic subscales)
- Anxiety (ditto)
- Somatic (Somatization, Conversion, Health COncerns subscales)
- and beaucoup others
