I am happy to announce:
- The launch of "Soapbox", a new feature in our Editorial Corner. The
Soapbox is a vehicle for Behavior OnLine's Editors to express their views
to the community at large. First to stand on the Soapbox is Don Nathanson
who invites psychotherapists to share their "mistakes" in the service of
learning. Those of you who visit the Shame and Affect Forum will be
familiar with the pleasure Don takes in learning from the mistakes of
others because he doesn't have enough time to make them all himself. We
will be hearing from others on the Soapbox in the weeks ahead.
- The launch of a new Forum Discussion on the topic of EMDR. The
discussion leader is Dr. Francine Shapiro, the originator and developer of
the therapeutic modality known as EMDR (for Eye Movement Desensitization
and Reprocessing). You are cordially invited to join Dr. Shapiro and me in
the EMDR Forum now. We are developing this discussion area as a dialogue.
When you arrive you will observe a series of questions (from me) and
answers (by her). Please join us and join in.
- In the Clinical Case Conference, the presentation of the Case of
Caroline is now complete. Coming up is a new case presented by Dr. James
Pretzer from the perspective of Cognitive Therapy.
