Estrogens from a wide range of sources appear to limit male reproductive abilities. There may be other consequences that reach even to the worlds of K- and r-selection.
Why so much sensitivity in males to "female" biochemistry and to "anti-androgens"?
Is this associated on a genic level with males' easy conquest by hour-glass shapes, shimmering hair, and flashing lashes? Does genomic imprinting work through estrogens to make for leaner but more territorial females and for more timid males? On a very different level, does the content of UK dumps favor liberalism and open doors for Islam?

"Declining Male Fertility Linked To Water Pollution
"ScienceDaily (Jan. 20, 2009) — New research strengthens the link between water pollution and rising male fertility problems. The study, by Brunel University, the Universities of Exeter and Reading and the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, shows for the first time how a group of testosterone-blocking chemicals is finding its way into UK rivers, affecting wildlife and potentially humans."
